Cotswold Wireless - covering hundreds of square miles across the Cotswolds.

Our wireless networks extend widely over the Cotswolds and surrounding areas. We deploy robust long range point-to-point links some over 20kms and sustaining 36-54 Mbits traffic. Our point to multipoint networks consist of external CPE (customer premises equipment) connecting to a network of base stations and repeaters to give maximum coverage.

Typically the last mile uses 2.4GHz 802.11b/g since the networks also operate as hotspots allowing pay as you go access to anyone within range with a wifi enabled device.

We are now deploying fully 5.8GHz networks offering much greater range and throughput with improved NLOS (non line of sight) These use Wimax class TDMA and polling MAC technology giving more efficient airtime and greater bandwidth.

Cotswold Wireless have developed close relationships with our suppliers over the past four years so we know the capabilities and potential of the equipment we use. We also know their roadmap for the future so we can plan new projects with even greater range and capacity.
