Most routers will have a basic settings page where various connection types are available.

You need to choose PPPoE. The Linksys router presents the following dialogue.

Please enter the Username and Password we have given you to access our service.

If using a wireless router we urge you to encrypt your wireless network to ensure your privacy and security. The next page shows how to do this on a Linksys wireless router.
